Call for application 2017

IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity, is pleased to announce the first call of the Italian PES Scholarship Plus Initiative thanks to thanks to the support of some of the major players of the electric power industry, such as Schneider Electric.

The PES Scholarship Plus Initiative provides scholarships and real world experience to undergraduates who are interested in power and energy engineering careers. Power and energy engineers work with some of today’s most exciting technologies, developing solutions to problems that affect our lives and lifestyles.

You can apply for the PES Scholarship if are enrolled in your last year of Master Degree and you are interested in an Internship within a Company to develop your Master thesis.

The scholarship fund, equal to 1700 euro, will be distributed via check to the awardees from the Italian IEEE Section. Moreover, awardees will have the opportunity to be developing their Master Degree Thesis in Schneider Electric.

Electrical Engineering Student with sound background and integrative skills and aptitude towards research along with experiences correlating operating technologies with computer science, networks and connectivity (smart city, smart grids, smart buildings, smart manufacturing, etc.) and energy efficiency. Together with the university career CV, any work experience, internships, knowledge of English, familiarity with the use of Computer Systems and the Social Network will be positvely evaluated.

You are eligible to apply for the scholarship if you are a student member of IEEE. June 28: deadline to complete the scholarship on-line application forms
July 10: students are notified of results by e-mail
